The Consumer Product Safety Commission announced a voluntary recall of Bead Bazaar children's jewelry due to lead exposure.
The It's a Girl Thing line of bracelets, necklaces and phone charms, distributed by Bead Bazaar USA of Rockville, Md., contain high levels of toxic lead, a CPSC statement said.
No injuries have been reported, but 13,000 jewelry pieces were sold nationwide form February 2006 through June 2008 for about $6.
The jewelry features a variety of charms and has It's a Girl Thing printed on the side of the packaging.
Consumers were advised to take the jewelry from children immediately and return it to the retailer for a full refund.

(UPI) – The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced a voluntary recall of Redcat Racing remote control toys due to a product defect. 
The remote control vehicles can lose their signals and run out of control, creating a risk of injury, CPSC said in a statement.
The recall includes models of road buggies, road trucks and off road Truggy vehicles. About 1,400 of the toys were sold between March 2007 and April 2008 for $280-$400, CPSC said.
Consumers were advised to stop using the toys and contact Redcat Racing Co. of Phoenix, for a replacement remote control.

(UPI) – The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced a voluntary recall of two models of Hewlett-Packard fax machines due to a fire hazard. 
The HP Fax 1010 and 1010xi fax machines can overheat, causing a risk of fire, CPSC said in a statement said. No injuries have been reported.
About 367,000 of the machines imported from China by Hewlett-Packard Co. of Palo Alto, Calif., were sold nationwide from November 2002 through September 2004 for $130-$150.
Consumers were advised to disconnect the machine from the electric power source and contact HP to receive a rebate.
